RILEY JOHNSON
Riley was a Principal Dancer with Mobile Ballet in Mobile, Alabama under the direction of Winthrop Corey. She has performed lead roles in numerous ballets including The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Dracula, George Balanchine’s Serenade and more. She attended summer intensives at Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theater and Saratoga Summer Dance Intensive. She has trained under the direction of Winthrop Corey, multiple School of American Ballet and New York City Ballet staff members, Leslie Peck and more. Riley is also a multi-time winner of the Mobile Ballet Choreography Workshop.
Riley has taught at Mobile Ballet, Classical Ballet of Mobile, The Dallas Conservatory and at several other programs over the years. She also frequently teaches private lessons. Riley has been both a Barre3 and Pure Barre instructor.
Riley graduated from Spring Hill College in 2017 and now lives in Dallas, TX where she works in marketing for AT&T. It’s incredibly special for Riley to pass on her passion for ballet to aspiring dancers, while experiencing the joy alongside them. She believes that dancing is such a picture of freedom, joy and hard work and she’s thankful to the Lord for this beautiful art form.
